Extremely underrated moment. His "command" is not "do what I think is right (aka not giving Erazor the rings)". He 'commands' her to do what SHE thinks is right. He's using the magic of the genie ring to liberate her from the bond she has with Erazor Djinn. Technically if she thought it was the right thing to continue handing over the rings, nothing would have changed. Obviously that wouldn't have been what happened, he knew she wasn't acting on her own free will. But I still think this is pretty major. I feel like most other protagonists would have just been like "I command you to not give the rings to Erazor Djinn." But Sonic pulled a "I wish for you to be free" instead.

And as soon as he say her in agony and fall, Sonic *immediately* runs to her side. Not caring at all about the World Rings now that Erazor has them.
